KMEA Reminders

Good afternoon, KCDA!  Here are a few reminders for those of you at KMEA this weekend:

1. Tomorrow is the KCDA Luncheon. It begins at 11:45 at the Drury Inn. If you have not yet purchased a ticket, it's not too late.  They will be on sale today and tomorrow for $13; you may purchase them online here: Luncheon Tickets

2. The KMEA Special Registration Rate for the 2014 KCDA Summer Convention begins today.  Save $15 by registering before March 7.  Forms are available at the KCDA booth.  Not at KMEA?  You can still register online by clicking HERE.

3. The KCDA Treble Honor Choir performs Friday evening, February 28, at 5:00pm.  Congratulations to all of those who had students selected to perform, and a big thanks to Christine Freeman for all of her work as coordinator.

KCDA Luncheon at KMEA

Happy Friday, KCDA!

Snow days certainly make time fly - it is hard to believe that we are only TWO WEEKS away from KMEA and our KCDA Luncheon!  If you are heading to Wichita, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to network, socialize, and get the scoop on our 2014 Summer Convention.

The Luncheon will be held at the Drury on Friday, February 28, at 11:45.  Tickets are $12 if purchased before February 26, and $13 if purchased on-site at KMEA.

All-State Women's Choir

I hope that all of you have enjoyed your snow days this week!  Just a reminder that we are, as of today, exactly one month away from the audition deadline for the KCDA All-State Women's Choir.

The All-State Women's Choir performs as a part of the KCDA Summer Convention.

AUDITION INFORMATION:

  • To be eligible for the 2014 KCDA Women’s All State Choir, singers must currently be in grades 9, 10, 11 and be part of Jr. High, High School, or Community Choir music programs.
  • Audition fees may be sent in one check; checks should be made payable to KCDA. 
  • Audition recordings should be emailed in .mp3 format to Amy Brown at abrown2@usd259.net or mailed to 
Amy Brown Wichita Northwest High School 1220 N. Tyler Rd. Wichita, KS 67212
  

Applications, audition recordings, and a $10.00 non-refundable application fee for each student must be postmarked by Friday, March 7, 2014.
