Kansas Choral Composition Prize

KCDA,
Please share the below info with any composers who may be interested in the 2016 KCCP Competition.

---

The Wichita Chamber Chorale performed “Life’s Symphony” by 2015 KCCP winner Geoff Wilcken at the Sounding Joy concert in December 2015 and is now calling for new submissions for the next round of the Kansas Choral Composition Prize. The only program of its kind in the state of Kansas, this initiative is founded by the board of the Wichita Chamber Chorale and co-sponsored by Wichita’s Senseney Music. In keeping with the WCC mission to champion significant choral music and to enrich the cultural life of our communities, the Kansas Choral Composition Prize fosters original choral music of the highest quality, with the intention of giving the winner(s) a high-profile performance of their work by the Wichita Chamber Chorale, in addition to a monetary prize. The winning composition will be performed by WCC during the 2017-18 season.
