Women's Choir Extension

The deadline for the 2014 All-State Women's Choir has been EXTENDED until Friday, March 28th.  All other submission and audition information remains the same, and can be accessed HERE.

Don't forget to take advantage of the KMEA Rate for Summer Convention Registration.  This deadline has NOT been extended, and will end tomorrow at 11:30pm.  Save $15 by registering today.

The Lawrence Children's Choir is seeking an accompanist to replace Marilyn Epp, co-founder and long-time LCC accompanist. Duties include playing for the Tour and Ambassador Choirs, which rehearse on Monday evenings weekly during the academic year and once a month on Saturdays. LCC gives 2-5 concerts per year, plus additional performances at smaller venues by the Ambassador Choir. Other expectations include providing artistic input, helping to make rehearsal recordings, running sectionals and accompanying the Tour Choir on tour (usually a week during the summer).

Women's Choir and Discounted Summer Convention Rates

Two reminders for this week:

The KMEA Special Rate (active members only) for the 2014 KCDA Summer Convention expires this Friday at 11:30PM. 
This summer's convention will include presentations from
Dr. Tim Seelig, Laura Farnell, Drs. Julie Yu and Joshua Oppenheim, and Christy Elsner; performances by the Kansas All-State Women's Choir and ARISE; and reading sessions suitable for all levels of choral music.
Save $15 by registering today and selecting the "KMEA Special Rate for Active Members":

Good afternoon, KCDA!  Here are a few reminders for those of you at KMEA this weekend:

1. Tomorrow is the KCDA Luncheon. It begins at 11:45 at the Drury Inn. If you have not yet purchased a ticket, it's not too late.  They will be on sale today and tomorrow for $13; you may purchase them online here: Luncheon Tickets

2. The KMEA Special Registration Rate for the 2014 KCDA Summer Convention begins today.  Save $15 by registering before March 7.  Forms are available at the KCDA booth.  Not at KMEA?  You can still register online by clicking HERE.

3. The KCDA Treble Honor Choir performs Friday evening, February 28, at 5:00pm.  Congratulations to all of those who had students selected to perform, and a big thanks to Christine Freeman for all of her work as coordinator.
